Our city have a number of tourist attractions; the beautiful temples overlooking the river, the house and museum of Ho Chi Minh, Mekong Under Water World museum, rest your feet with a cold drink and enjoy the great Mekong river view at the Indochine market terrace. Get on a bicycle and go for a ride on the Mekong Bicycle Boulevard on the bank of the river following the river all the way up to the Third Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge.

From GATE 14 Inn, you can walk to most of the temples and attractions in the city. The best way to get around to the attractions that are located a little bit further out of the city center, is to rent a car, motorbike, a taxi or mini van  with a driver - ask at the GATE 14 Inn reception. If you are up to it, and not bothered with some kilometers or the sun; get a bicycle from us or rent a motor bike (just remember, by Thai law you are required to have a valid drivers license for car or motor bike and it’s a good idea to check if you are covered by your travel insurance when riding a motor bike or driving a car).

The new city pillar in Nakhon Phanom
Built in 1992, it is a fairly new city pillar (หลักเมือง). It is believed that the shrine houses the city's spirit or guardian that would protect and guard the new city. The pillar is usually built before constructing a new city or town. This tradition is more a central Thailand phenomenon than an Isaan tradition.
